The NaturaSKIN Treatment Journey: Your Steps to Perfection!

On the day, you will be met by one of our friendly NaturaSKIN clinicians who will escort you to the treatment room.

At NaturaSKIN, our aim is to ensure that the client is given the best service possible and is aware of what to expect during and after the treatment. Therefore, prior to any treatment, a clinician will discuss the procedure with you and answer any questions that you have regarding it.

Following this and with your consent, the NaturaSKIN clinician will proceed with the treatment in a relaxed and comfortable environment. After the treatment, our clinician will discuss the aftercare of your treatment and provide an aftercare leaflet.

At NaturaSKIN our aim is to enable our clients to achieve the results they want and get the look they desire.

During the initial free consultation a NaturaSKIN clinician will not only address any questions that you have but also discuss the possible treatment options available. Following this, a bespoke treatment plan is developed and the clinician will arrange an appointment for the bespoke treatments.

At NaturaSKIN, it is important to us that our clients receive the best possible treatment and care. Thus, for this procedure our clinicians will use a Genuine Dermaroller™ medical device. Dermaroller™ Class IIa sterile single use medical devices comply with the European Medical Device Directive.

On the day of the procedure, the clinician will cleanse the area and then apply a local anesthetic cream to numb the treatment area, making the procedure as comfortable as possible. The cream will take 40 mins to work.

Following which the clinician will use the dermaroller over the treatment area. This takes approximately 20-30 mins. Once the treatment has been done, the NaturaSKIN clinician will clean the area and apply a cooling serum and sun protection before completing the treatment.

Following the dermaroller treatment, the clinician will discuss the aftercare with you and also arrange a follow up consultation.

Following the treatment, you will find that the treated area may appear a little red but over the course of 72 hours by applying the cooling serum and sun protection regularly, this will reduce.

After a few days, you can expect to start to see an improvement of the skin texture and problematic area. Each dermaroller therapy session will result in an improvement to the skin, but for visible effects at NaturaSKIN we recommend a course of 3 treatments with 6 week intervals to ensure our clients attain the best possible results.

In the case of clients who are having dermaroller treatment for acne scarring or other types of scarring, there may be a need for more treatments and in such cases we recommend a course of 5 treatments with 6 week intervals. The NaturaSKIN clinician can discuss this with you during your initial consultation.

At NaturaSKIN we value our clients and understand how important the pre and post aftercare management is following a treatment. During the treatment, the clinician will arrange a 2 week follow up consultation to see how you are getting on.

However, if during the post-treatment phase there are any concerns or questions, the NaturaSKIN team is available at 0845 261 3706 or via email at aftercare@naturaskin.co.uk. Alternatively the team can be contacted via the advice line number, which would be provided by the clinician during the treatment.

The NaturaSKIN clinician will discuss the after care and follow up with you during the treatment. Once the treatment has been completed, the NaturaSKIN clinician will apply a broad spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreen that contains an SPF 50 which you must continue with for a minimum of 2 weeks after the treatment.

Following the procedure, the clinician will apply an oxygenating and vitamin E cream liberally on the face. You will be advised to continue using this cream until the redness of the skin subsides. This can take up to 3 days.
Once the redness has subsided, you can continue to resume the recommended anti-ageing skincare regime that the clinician will discuss with you.

At NaturaSKIN, we routinely review our patients after their initial treatment to check how they are getting along post procedure. After the treatment, the clinician will arrange with you, a date and time for the follow-up to take place.

If there are any concerns or queries following the treatment, our team is always willing to help and can be contacted via the advice line number provided by the clinician at time of treatment. Alternatively you can contact us via email at aftercare@naturaskin.co.uk or telephone at 0845 261 3706.

Dermaroller treatment promotes the natural regeneration and repair mechanism of the skin and so not only is there minimal downtime following the procedure, it does not have an long term side effects.

During the first 72 hours you will notice that the skin is:

• Red (erythema)
• Sore and irritated
• Swelling
• Excoriation sites

These will all resolve spontaneously over 72 hours and resolve completely after a week. To accelerate the process, it is advisable to use the skin care routine as advised by the NaturaSKIN clinician.

If there are any concerns or queries following the treatment, our team is always willing to help and can be contacted via the advice line number provided by the clinician at time of treatment. Alternatively you can contact us via email at aftercare@naturaskin.co.uk or telephone at 0845 261 3706.
