The NaturaSKIN Treatment Journey: Your Steps to Perfection!

On the day, you will be met by one of our friendly NaturaSkin clinicians who will escort you to the treatment room.

At NaturaSkin, our aim is to ensure that the client is given the best service possible and is aware of what to expect during and after the treatment. Therefore, prior to any treatment, a clinician will discuss the procedure with you and answer any questions that you have regarding it. Following this discussion and with your consent, the Naturaskin clinician will proceed with the treatment in a relaxed and comfortable environment. After the treatment, our clinician will discuss the aftercare of your treatment and provide an aftercare leaflet .
At NaturaSkin our aim is to enable our clients to achieve the results they want and get the look they desire.

During the initial free consultation a Natura SKIN clinician will not only address any questions that you have but also discuss the possible treatment options available following which, a Naturaskin bespoke treatment plan will be designed to ensure you achieve the results you want. After the initial consultation, the clinician will arrange an appointment for the bespoke treatments.

During the procedure, a NaturaSkin clinician will clean the treatment area and mark the treatment site prior to inserting the wrinkle relaxing injections. Following this, the clinician will arrange a follow up in 2 weeks time to review the treated area. The treatment overall time is 30minutes and so can even be fitted into a lunch hour at work.

Following the treatment, your skin will start to feel tight around the area where the treatment has taken place. Over the course of two weeks, you will start to see the effects of the treatment and notice that gradually the lines will start to soften. In some cases they may disappear completely, helping you achieve the result that you want.

At NaturaSkin, we value our clients and understand how important the pre and post aftercare management is following a treatment. After the treatment, the clinician will arrange a 2 week follow up consultation to see how you are getting on. However, if during the post-treatment phase there are any concerns or questions, the NaturaSkin team is available at (telephone) or via email (email address).

The full effect of the treatment is seen best between 2 – 14 days after the procedure. The treatment itself will last between 3 – 4 months.

At NaturaSKIN, we routinely review our patients after their initial treatment to check post-treatment progress. After the treatment, the NaturaSKIN clinician will discuss the aftercare with you and also arrange a review in 2weeks.

If there are any concerns or queries following the treatment, our team is always willing to help and can be contacted via email at aftercare@naturaskin.c.uk or by contacting our advice line the number of which is provided to you by the clinician at time of treatment.

To help optimise the treatment results, exercise your muscles in the form of simple facial expressions like frowning, smiling, raising your eyebrows and squinting at least during the first hour after your treatment.

Following the treatment things to avoid are:
1. Please do not lie flat, bend down excessively for at least 4 hours after treatment.
2. Avoid exercising, saunas, hot tub, steam rooms or tanning for a 24 hours.
3. Do not have a facial, rub, wash your hair or have a massage of any kind for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
4. Do not travel by flight in the first 48 hours minimum.
5. Do not book or treat yourself to any of the following procedures for at least one week after your treatment:

Laser treatment or any other electrical beauty treatments

The first couple of hours after treatment, it is common to notice small areas of redness at the treatment site. These often last for 2-3 hours. In some cases, tiny bumps or marks may develop. However, they tend to disappear within a few hours after the treatment. Sometimes bruising/swelling of the treatment area can occur. The swelling generally subsides a few hours after the treatment but the bruising may resolve more slowly over course of a week.

Some people find that following the treatment, they develop a dull heavy sensation +/- occasional headache. This is a less common side effect of a treatment, but if this happens, you can take paracetamol to help as required.

However, it is advisable to not take any anti-inflammatories like Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Nurofen, alcohol or vitamin E because these may increase bruising.

Ptosis (droop) of eyebrow or eyelid are rare side effects of wrinkle relaxing injections but if this should occur, please contact us immediately on 0845 261 3706 or the advice line number provided and also seek the advice of a medical doctor urgently.

Double vision is also a very rare side effect of the anti-wrinkle injections, but if this should occur, please contact us immediately and also seek the advice of a medical doctor urgently.
